Artist statement
In my work I tend to navigate between the themes of identity, feminism and where do we stand as individuals in the material and the natural world. In this artistic research I use humour, irony, language and the absurd as my main tools. I believe that these tools can offer a critical view of our reality, a reality I consider a big playground. Spontaneity, daily life objects, my surroundings and society are a big part of my inspiration. I pay an important attention to the concept and then, to the medium, and although I have a predilection for video and photography in a performative way, I also work with installation, printmaking, painting and other media to explore the expanded possibilities of visual storytelling.
