This self-recorded CD and self-bound CD cover contains the amplified directed sound of five walks in Huangpu village, Guangzhou, China. This place is what is called a ‘urban village’, a small village that was devoured by the megacity from which now forms part. It also serves as a last remain of a romanticized past very well visited by local tourists during the weekends. These walks were the result of some months working on this space and were thought as a reflexion on authenticity, destruction, transformation, and the personal connection to an unknown place from the perception of a foreign point of view. The different tracks invite the listener to immerse oneself into the walks as the artist was directing its way. Also, it is accompanied by a booklet with thoughts, writings and collages from the photos of the walks.
